man, here I was hoping to be your first commentor and rockrunner beat me to the punch. geez, that guy is all over the internet...tell him to get back to work, why doncha?

Hi Nora, how awesome to connect with you in cyberspace :)

I had a fifi hairdo once - never again. Just had to come to grips with the fact that chemicals are no good for this head.

So, how's village life treating you?

Hello Nora!

Long time since I have talked to you. I have kept you in my prayers here in Southern IL. Love the hair! Amy just got hers straightened recently. We will be looking forward to hearing from you again.

hi Nora! We all love you, hair and all. :) I would love to learn more about what daily life is like there - the "simple" stuff, from groceries to home maintenance to what you do to relax after a long day of work, take on a whole new meaning in such a different environment. Can't wait to hear all about your life!

Hi guys!!! It's so cool to connect with you from so far away! Makes me homesick, you'll just have to come visit, ok?

Hi Nora! I'm really excited to hear about all you're doing! I love Eva's suggestions & I'm looking forward to your posts.

As far as the perm goes, hopefully it will "relax" in a few day. At least you still have your sense of humor!!

Suzy Q,
How exactly does curly translate in Mmm-Belly?

Think about it this way - you could be slowly losing your hair like me!!! How do you translate Mmm-baldy?

Kelly...I don't know why but you strike me as someone that could share a perm disaster story. Got one?

Well yes, rockrunner, funny you should ask...I just happen to have one.

So, Adam, my husband, is my hair partner in crime. I've had him color it, cut it, style it...btw - he is in sales. Anyway, we permed my hair once. It took us three hours to put all those ridiculous rollers in, & we had so much trouble with the little paper strips too! When all was said and done, my hair not only had that horrible chemical smell, but I looked like Shirley Temple, but BAD. My curls were so tight, but then there were these random pieces that barely curled at all. Needless to say, I was very happy when the perm grew out & those rollers were tossed in the garbage!

I knew it! The smell would be the thing that would keep me from ever doing one of those...that and a substantial lack of hair!
